Sustainable SummerHill:
New Branding
Objective:
The objective of the project is to analyze SummerHill neighborhood and create a new identity system that can solve an existing issue in the neighborhood.
The Problem:
Upon visiting the Summerhill neighborhood, I observed several unsustainable practices. Large expanses of land appeared barren, and the community parks lacked thoughtful design and maintenance, lacking any distinctive points of attraction. The ongoing construction contributed to various issues, and the overall aesthetics of the neighborhood seemed disorganized and uncoordinated. Additionally, there were no proper wayfinding systems to direct residents and visitors to different parts of the neighborhood, further impacting the overall experience.
The Solution: Sustainable SummerHill
To address the challenges observed and align with the project's objective of redefining the neighborhood's identity, I proposed a transformative approach for Summerhill. The vision involves shaping a sustainable identity for the community. The reimagined Summerhill will actively pursue initiatives centered around sustainability. This initiative includes the development of a new logo, online shop collaterals highlighting sustainable practices, and an enhanced community experience designed to reflect the values of a sustainable society. Through these efforts, the goal is to establish a renewed sense of identity for Summerhill that embraces and promotes sustainable living.
